The opponents will be current members of the Order, and will each judge the candidate for different qualities. General rules for personal combat are as follows:"

Brinn says in guild speak, "1. No magical enhancements whatsoever. The candidate must use non-magical gear and have no magical items on their person. To ensure this, personal combat will begin with a journey to three destinations:"

Brinn says in guild speak, "1- Darkstone Castle. The pool at Darkstone Castle will ensure that the candidate is experienced enough to attempt the test."

Brinn says in guild speak, "2- The Haunted Inn. Any item to be used or worn by the candidate must be tested by the crystal in the inn to determine if it is enchanted."

Brinn says in guild speak, "3- The Tower. Once the candidate has passed the pool and the crystal, they are taken to the Tower where the Order is located and personal combat can begin."

Brinn says in guild speak, "2. The candidate may use whatever non-magical gear they wish. Any weapon or armor proven to be without enchantment or enhancement will be allowed. Enhancement includes elementals in the weapon or EBlades, Enchant True, and metals of magical nature. Enhancement does not include weapons that cause more severe wounds because of weight or balance, such as claidhmores."

Brinn says in guild speak, "3. The candidate must use a non-brawling weapon. Brawling will not be allowed in personal combat. Any non-brawling weapon type is allowable, and any normal shield may be used, so long as it passes the tests listed above."

Brinn says in guild speak, "4. The candidate may switch gear at any time during a personal combat, or between combats, at the candidate's discretion. The tester is not under any commitment to allow the candidate to change gear unharrassed."

Brinn says in guild speak, "5. No spells can be cast during the combat, even if the candidate can cast those spells themselves. No items which cast spells are allowed into the combat. The candidate must be spell-free during the combat. The Order will ensure that the candidate has no spells up before combat begins. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that they have no spells up. If a candidate is determined to have participated in personal combat with spells up, then the candidate can be denied admittance to the Order immediately."
