As occuring in Wehnimer's Landing

Lord Khazaan sent me this mysterious transcript with this note: "Here is the log of the wizard that came long ago that Direstrike was referring to." I thank him very much for it. It made fascinating reading, but left many mysteries. Anyone who knows more, please let me know.

Dark flagstone floors extend in a gleaming river of darkness beneath thick, handwoven crimson rugs in this spacious foyer. To the north, banners of purple, blue, green, and yellow flutter from a balcony railing some fifty feet overhead. A granite arch sweeps along the length of the western wall, and a magnificent fieldstone staircase curves upward to the east. You also see a white wizard, the Mongoose disk, an ancient felwood credenza with some stuff on it and a dark grapevine basket gaily decorated with bright red ribbon.

Azure asks, "Wizard is there something we can help you with?"

You bow to the white wizard.

Azure smiles at the white wizard.

Tritan peers quizzically at a white wizard.

Falston bows to the white wizard.

Gotheo bows to the white wizard.

Marknurr asks, "Wizard do ye know where the firecats come from?"

Morbd asks, "whu surta vile majiks yas concoctin now? eh?"

The wizards robe seems to spark with fire for a moment, the fade.

The tingling sensation and sense of security leaves Azure.

Mycrift gazes in amazement at a white wizard.

Morbd glances at a white wizard.

Triex asks, "Isn't this the same wizard who killed a couple people in the alley over at tsc?"

Kerrithan says, "Oooh, lovely robe."

Gotheo bows to Falston.

Blades asks, "hmm i have another question for ye wizard, who do you seek?"

Spellhands asks, "Anyone tried to kill it yet?"

It is your typical white wizard.
It is in good shape.
It has some white leather boots (worn) and a magical white robe (worn).

Kerrithan glances at Spellhands.

Rozak says, "he seeks an elf child"

Tritan gawks at a white wizard.

Gotheo begins chuckling at Spellhands.

You glare at Spellhands.

Triex says, "This Wizard is powerful."

A white wizard sings:

"I seek he that brings death."

Spellhands says, "Just wondering"

Blades says, "why kill him? he has done nothing"

You say, "dont even try it"

Blades says, "he that brings death eh"

Kerrithan asks, "He that brings death? Can you be more specific?"

Triex says, "I bring death..."

Triex says, "to krolvin..."

Spellhands says, "It was a question, that's all"

Morbd asks, " and who is he dat bringin deth?"

Azure asks, "does he have a name, Wizard?"

Marknurr asks, "Wizard what is it called that brings death?"

Tritan says, "Who brings death? Besides Blades that is"

Tritan grins.

Blades smiles.

Azure glances at Tritan.

Brastius asks, "me be part elf wixard.... but for what purpose do you seel the child... be it ill or good fortune you wish to bring on it?"

Thraak recites: "Death be all around, why do you seek he that brings death!"

A white wizard sings:

"A man in gold
Yet scribed in black
Tell me his name
And I'll take him back."

Triex raises an eyebrow.

Triex says, "Hmm..."

Blades says, "a man in gold"

Blades says, "yet scribed in black"

Azure asks, "a man in gold?"

Azure furrows her brow.

Menolley smiles at the white wizard.

(Falston ponders the Wizards rhyme.)

Triex asks, "Maybe a person wearing gold...who...killed someone?"

Kerrithan says, "A man in gold, yet scribed in black..."

Kristor says, "What does he want"

Kristor points at a white wizard.

A white wizard sings:

"He hides in the shadows
By day is not seen.
Yet deathis is his name,
Or so it seems."

Mapper says, "We need to find his name.."

Tritan asks, "Shadow assassins?"

Brastius asks, "luukos?"

Azure looks over at Tritan and shakes her head.

Gotheo says, "whoever he is talking about sounds like one scary dude"

Morbd asks, " onar?"

Wobble smiles at the white wizard.

Thraak asks, "The Black-Clad Footpad White Wizard?"

Blades furrows his brow.

Mycrift asks, "Eonake?"

Morbd asks, " sheru?"

Falston says, "hmmm."

Azure asks, "Daephron Illian?"

Azure furrows her brow.

Triex shudders.

Thraak asks, "Thalior?"

Bleys went under the blue banner.

Tritan asks, "Devestior?"

Mapper says, "The Vvrael are nae seen by day...and they hide in the shadows.."

Mycrift asks, "Koar?"

Kerrithan asks, "Vvrael?"

Wobble says, "Vvrael...."

Wobble shudders.

Gotheo says, "wizzie is not very talkative, aside from his rhymes."

Triex says, "Um...to whoever just got here. (snicker) don't try to attack this wizard. He's been seen before and he is not weak."

Bleys glances at a white wizard.

A white wizard sings:

"Devestior is his name
I want his head.
He is gold upon black,
But best off dead."

Blades removes a deadly sickle inset with a dark soulstone and the name "Soulstealer" inscribed in deathrunes along the length of its staff from inside his hideous black scabbard.

Blades slings a black galvorn-bound shield emblazoned with a serpent with ruby eyes that seem to pierce your soul off from over his shoulder.

Blades growls ferociously!

Azure nods to Blades.

Triex says, "Eeeek"

Blades rubs a thick band of black ora inset with a soulstone bearing the ancient crest of House Faendryl.

A brilliant aura surrounds Blades.

Gotheo says, "well, that makes it easier."

Blades rubs a black ora talisman in the shape of a lich's talon suspended by a dull silver linked chain.

A wall of force surrounds Blades.

Blades rubs a primitive talisman made from a voalcat's fang and some puma fur.

Blades looks considerably more imposing.

Blades stares at a white wizard.

Tritan asks, "why do you want him dead?"

Blades asks, "why do you seek his death?"

Wobble says, "Devestior...."

Blades slings a black galvorn-bound shield emblazoned with a serpent with ruby eyes that seem to pierce your soul over his shoulder.

Brastius asks, "devestior... who is that?"

Wobble furrows his brow.

Blades removes a twisted taproot from inside his spidersilk backpack.

Morbd says, "me thinkin he be livin on teras"

Lord Blades just went out.

Blades just arrived.

Blades put a glowing golden vial inside his spidersilk backpack.

Triex asks, "Aye m'lord wizard...why does though want him dead. For has though's soul done wrong too much?"

Tritan asks, "Why do you want him dead?"

Bleys says, "relax Blades...if he really wanted him dead all he would have to do is have Berr kill him again."

You hear a loud caterwaul as Kinshack comes running in chasing a white wizard!

Triex exclaims, "Kinshack...though must have more sence thatn to attack the wizard!"

Davydd throws back his head and lets loose a terrible bellow!

A white wizard looks momentarily surprised but otherwise unaffected.

Falston gestures at Kinshack.
Kinshack is able to move again.
The glazed look leaves Kinshack.

The berserker's rage leaves Kinshack's eyes and he looks weakened.

Davydd cackles!

Davydd just tried to pull a white wizard.

Kinshack says, "gads thank you Falston"

A white wizard says, "He has killed my king, and has come here to run from me."

Davydd just tried to kiss a white wizard!

Azure says, "well...wizard we'll wish you the best of luck finding him...its not often that we see him in these parts."

Falston bows to the white wizard.

Tritan asks, "Who was your king?"

Kerrithan says, "Wow..."

Azure shrugs.

A white wizard looks over towards Azure and nods.

Bleys says, "Imagine that...they send another wizard to deal with another armsuser.....how...imaginative."

Wobble begins chuckling at Azure.

The grey wolf sniffs at a white wizard, and growls.

A white wizard says, "I shall find him. He cannot run."

Morbd says, "ey thrudh luk at da waggler"

Blades says, "but he may be protected"

Azure glances at Wobble.

Cumulos says, " hello great wizard"

Morbd points at a white wizard.

Cumulos bows to the white wizard.

Thrudh nods to Morbd.

Thrudh says, "Ho Li'l Magic Man Friend"

Vulnavia says, "then why are you not out looking for him instead of wasting our time with your tales"

A white wizard says, "Protected? Who would do such a foolish thing."

Blades says, "i would not know wizard"

Falston says, "Though my powers fail to match yours, if I may be of service all you need to do is ask"

Blades says, "but he has friends here"

Mapper asks, "Who be yer king, Wizard?"

Blades says, "maybe you should watch the shadows yourself"

Thrudh exclaims, "Thrud Go Find Bad Thing Now, Smash Good!"

Thrudh throws his head back and howls!

Vulnavia says, "it is obvious the white wizard is mightily defended by his own spellcraft, therefore why does he banter words with us"

Kialef asks, "who is the wizard?"

Mapper says, "Assassins have their place in the world, jes as anyone else.."

Vulnavia says, "be off wizard and fight your own battles"

A white wizard says, "Find him. He shall die."

Blades says, "find him yourself"

Azure says, "perhaps, Wizard, you should look for the one that hired him."

Azure says, "he's an assassin, he doesn't kill for free."

Brastius says, "we have not the means to locate him as yeself wizrd,.... be gone with oyu and do ye own dirty work..."

Falston says, "and what will be our reward"

Triex says, "Wizard...though should be fighting your own battles. Thou does not look weak...neither are thou weak."

A white wizard chuckles.

Blades smiles.

Azure says, "someone would have hired him to kill your king."

Blades says, "aye"

Kinshack says, "i didn't have harmful intent, but i was under the intoxicating rage of the berserker"

Marknurr asks, "White Wizard why not have a colorful person as yerself locate him?"

A white wizard says, "Not if I know him."

Kinshack says, "was an accident, i assure you"

Blades says, "he must have something you want from him"

Airy and open, the porch is enclosed by smooth, freshly painted white modwir up to a height of about four feet. As you ponder the sky-blue color of the ceiling and a lacework of deep green ivy that criss-crosses the open spaces between posts, the hubbub of the world beyond quickly fades away. Rocking chairs of various sizes are an inviting sight, and an elegant marble arch provides a tantalizing view of the splendors inside the old manor. You also see the Rtune disk, the Juliettte disk, a rotting wooden box, a sturdy oak chest, a doorman, the porch steps and an elegant green marble arch.

[Hearthstone, Courtyard]
Before you stands a grand old manor, framed by huge willows to the east and west. The elegant trees sway gently, dappling the cobblestone courtyard with ever-shifting patterns of light and dark. Snippets of conversation drift away from the long porch stretching along the full width of the great old house, as several guests enjoy the hospitality and ambience of this fine hideaway. You also see a badly damaged silver trunk, a plainly wrapped package and the porch steps.

[A Quiet Path]
A stray breeze trails through from the north, carrying with it the scent of lavender and, oddly, grilled rolton. Though many might ponder this strange combination of fragrances, the truly remarkable aspect of this quiet path lies in the regal beauty of the ancient trees whose branches reach out overhead, offering welcome to all who pass. Citizens, merchants and assorted dregs of society jostle against you before the great wooden gates of Wehnimer's Landing. Harried guards and militiamen try to keep the chaos to a minimum, but it is hard to keep track of those entering, let alone leaving, this large trading post. A dirt path encircling the wooden palisade of the town leads east and southwest. Nailed prominently to the wooden wall beside the gate is a sign you really should read. You also see a white wizard and a wayside inn.

You are scrutinized by vigilant soldiers as you arrive at the wide gateway guarding the land route to Wehnimer's Landing. The frenetic pace of the city to the south is a far cry from the deceptive calm of the wilds of Elanith outside. Two daunting towers survey the countryside and protect the town, flanking the road to the east and west. This road girds the town along the inner side of the north palisade. To the north are the two high spires of the land guardtowers. Militia come and go, marking the changing of the watch. You are just within the main gates, caught in a press of people of all races going off in many directions. Opposite the gates, you see the shop of Dakris the Furrier. You also see[1m a white wizard[0m, the Twilightmoon disk and an old man.

To the west and southwest lies the untamed land that surrounds Wehnimer's Landing. To the west, the large wooden fence in front of the Wehnimer's Jousting Arena fills your view. You also see a white wizard, an augmented breastplate and a small sign.
